Finally a cool down period here in the Tri-Cities…Woo Hoo!

I just posted a discussion topic about this on my Facebook group, but thought  that everyone should answer, and posted it here in my blog as well.

Thinking back to when you first began your internet marketing saga, whether it was 8 years ago, or 8 days ago, there were some fears that you probably had about building your business.

(Remember, this is a BUSINESS)

But what I want to know is, What is your biggest fear about building your business online right now?

Is it a fear of losing money?

Do you not have the right pay/comp plan?

Is it that you actually have a fear of making money and being successful?

I know that it was with me.

I had to accept that fact that I was in this not as a hobby anymore, but as a business, and a lucrative one at that.  I had to envision myself as the millionaire that I had always dreamed of becoming.  It was the fact that once I started to see a decent amount of money coming in with just a little bit of effort, I knew that if I increased my efforts and improved my mindset, than a millionaire income could truly be achieved.

So once I got into the mindset of being a millionaire, you’d be surprised how much more easily leads, cash, and sales started coming to me.

We all have them, so why hide them.  We will grow much stronger with everyone’s input.

What  is MLM Lead System PRO – or better yet known as MSLP?

Sometimes we use URL shortening programs to mask affiliate links like this um…”real” one here:  http://roozeekuh.yourwebsiteproduct.clickedproduct.net/fakelink but the problem is that it’s ugly, way too long, and just stands out as being weird for your visitors to click on.  But as I’ve been using, we all can use a URL shortening program to make those long, ugly affiliate links into something a bit more palatable.

While on Facebook, one might shorten a long URL so that it doesn’t fill up the “Update” section of our profiles.

See, as marketers, we use all sorts of online programs to shorten our URL’s, and for different reasons.  But in a personal slap against me (o.k., not really against me, it just feels that way) the URL shortening service Tr.im announced Sunday that they’re closing up shop.  As a result, I will be losing all of my affiliate links that I have saved with Tr.im as soon as they go down on December 31, 2009 per http://blog.tr.im/

Really, as a whole what this has done is it makes us dependent on whatever method we use to shorten our URL’s to keep them as a “live” link.  But if we use a program to shorten our URL’s like Tr.im, our links run the risk of no longer working!

So where can you turn to?  Well, given Twitters popularity and its association with Bit.ly, I use Bit.ly to shorten any URL’s I send out.  Now, I run the risk of looking like a fool here, but I’ll assume due to their association with Twitter, Bit.ly will be around for a while.  We all know where assuming things will get you – right?

The fortunate thing about Bit.ly versus other sites like tiny.url is that it’ll take you link: http://roozeekuh.yourwebsiteproduct.clickedproduct.net/fakelink and change it to http://www.yoursite.com/product/ – and it’ll give you stats on the number of clicks the link has received so you can track reader’s interest and conversions..

Taking it a step further, if you find that the product that you’re sending visitors to isn’t converting, you can keep the same shortened link, but send it to another product without having to edit the actual link itself.  Afterall, you’ve posted it all over the net.  Do you want to go to each site and change the link addresses?

This is your business!  Be the CEO, CFO, etc.  Be in control of it, especially the parts that bring you leads, customers, subscribers, sales, and your income.
