Free Article Marketing Training – Top Secret Strategies

Have you ever had that moment after you’ve registered for a training call, webinar, or lecture where you hope and pray that the content that was covered was enough to give you the “whole picture.”

Through my years of these trainings, I have had my fair share of disappointing webinars, failed attempts at passing along outdated information, trainings that turned into inglorious sales pitches, etc., etc.

So when a webinar comes along that promises to provide free article and content marketing, and then goes above and beyond that promise, obviously it’s one that you remember.

That’s why I’m writing this tonight.

Tonight MLM Lead System Pro (MLSP) held another free webinar on article marketing and content marketing, and once again, the guys delivered.  Big Time!

Tonight’s host was David Wood, who’s credentials include not only being a MLSP member, but in just the last 2 months since he became a member, he’s generated 650 laser targeted leads, in just 3 weeks his blog is now getting 600+ hits per day from unique visitors, and in just the last week alone he’s been able to sponsor 5 new distributors into his primary MLM company.

He’s created a method to get his article rankings on the first page of Google for any specific set of keywords or phrases.  He’s figured out a way to get his videos posted on Google in the organic searches, and keep them there.

Not too shabby for a budget of $0.00 right?

Anyways, what I found significant from tonights training is that David essentially gave away his entire training.  His entire blue print laid out in front of us.

Good Lord!  Who does that?

Well, here’s the thing – first off, there is no way that anyone will be competition to David and saturate the industry with this technique.  There are just WAY TOO many topics, categories, and content to write about.  Literally!  Secondly, any marketer knows that when they present a strategy, tip, secret, or whatever to a large group, they know that there is only a small percentage of marketers who will actually continue to use that strategy after one week.  It’s just a given fact.

He took his entire marketing strategy (at this point it’s only article marketing) and blasted it out to us over an hours period of time.  He literally laid it all out in front of us.  In fact, for those of us on the webinar, he gave away some freebies and bonuses just for being on the webinar.

Now, if you were on tonights webinar, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

If not, well, that’s why I’m writing the post.  To fill you in on some of the strategies that he uses.

So lets jump in shall we?

There is a 4 step process:

  1. Create an Original Article and post it on your blog or other site like Squidoo.  Think of this as your parent article.  At the end of the article after you provide some reallyvaluable content, you will promote your landing page that you use for lead generation.  Only do this on this original article,  and do it at the end of the post.
  2. Bookmark your articles on social sites in one huge blast using a free site like www.Onlywire.com  You will be able to automatically submit your article to 40+ social media sites at the press of a button.  Pretty powerful stuff!  This will only help to increase your ranking and value on Google.
  3. Promote the article content through video sharing sites like Youtube and Viddler.  Ever thought of breaking down your article into a video, and linking your video to the article in the description of the video?  HA!  Neither had I.  You can bet I will be now though.  The thing is, your video doesn’t have to be really long.  3-5 minutes shoudl be about max.  If you’re using a tool like Traffic Geyser, this job is only simplified.
  4. Then do an article submission that promotes your original article by using an article submission tool.  If you were to use a tool that could save you time and energy by submitting your article to 300+ article sites, you’d do that right?  (You should be nodding your head yes right now…).  Then within these articles, you will link them directly to your parent article that you posted on your blog.

Two important things to remember: 1) Your primary article should lead your readers to your landing page.  2) All of your other submissions and promotions should lead to the link for your parent article.  Make sense?

So, yes, this is a 4 step process, and it seems very easy at first, but keep in mind, the first few times you do this strategy, you for sure will find it difficult at first just because it’s all new to you.  Once you do it a few times and you have the motions down, it will go a lot smoother.

So get out there, write an article, and start blasting it out there.  Yes, it can take time.  But what does it come down to for you?  The cost of money or the cost of time?  Which is more important to you?

Social Networking – Creating an “Event” Inside Facebook.

I’ve been using this marketing strategy the last several months whenever I want to let my Facebook group know about a special webinar or training that is coming up.

And as it turns out, several people on my team have been asking for information on how I not only create an event, but how I use it in my strategies.   So I created this video to not only help them out, but help you all out as well.

Using this technique is a benign way of getting your training in front of your group members without them feeling like their getting spammed with even more links.  And solidifies that it’s an actual event, not just some affiliate link that you’re using to spam them with.

New Rules of Google Adwords

Over the last few months, I credit a lot of my success to PPC  marketing, particularly Google Adwords.

As many of you are aware, the bible of PPC marketing is Perry Marshall’s Definitive Guide to Google Adwords.

But as we all know, the internet is a RAPIDLY evolving place.  Even in the last 2-3 months changes within Google have been so signficiant that there are changes his book does not account for.

Why?  The original Definitive Guide was written clear back in 2007.

So here’s why I’m telling you all of this:

Perry is releasing an updated 2010 edition of his book.

If you are using Google PPC,  you will want to get the first batch of this book.   Things like the new quality score formula, new Google Adwords interface (which personally I love!) and how to get more impressions and conversions will be covered.

Just the other day I was thinking to myself how nice it would be to have an Updated version of Definitive Guide to Google Adwords, then I open my Facebook account and there was a message there from Jim Chao talking about this updated book.  Can you say “You ask and you will receive?”

Anyways, if you are not doing ppc yet, you will want to get to it as soon as possible.

You can literally go from a newbie to top producer within months once you mastered PPC.  It has definitely been happening to me.

So go be 4th in line to get it (Jim Chao & Ket Sang Tai are in from of me in line, I’m 3rd).

Calling Your Leads?

Do You Call Your Leads?

If not…Your Leaving Money on the Table!

I got into  a discussion about this with a friend of mine today.  We were talking about how many people in internet marketing don;t even spend the time to call the leads that come in through their auto responders.

DO you have any idea how much money you’re leaving on the table if you never attempt to call and connect?  The money is in the relationship.  And you can only build it once you pick up the phone, call your leads, and connect.

If you want to see a dramatic turn in your lead conversions, do just what I mentioned above.

And for the love of God, don’t pitch them on your biz opp.

Just talk!

Mention that you received their information off of your website, and you’re calling for 2 reasons: 1) Let them know that you’re a real person.  2) You ask them what they were looking for.  Was it to learn about lead generation? was it to learn about you? was it to learn about your system?

These are 2 great tips to move forward, diffuse the feeling like they’re being pitched to, and build that ever valuable relationship.

This is how the gurus build their lists and their income!

Hey, What’s Your Motivation?

What is Your Motivation?

I was just over at BetterNetworker.com (Mike Dillards social group) and a Topic was brought up about the new BMW 335i contest that MLM Lead System Pro (MLSP) is holding.

Jim Chao started the topic off just by simply mentioning it.  I sent a reply a few minutes later.  No big deal.  Typical flow of a forum post.

But then the question of the reason for this contest and why we’re promoting it was brought up.

To summarize, the intent of the poster was to make a point:  “Are we REALLY going to try to push MLSP harder because of this contest?   If the answer is yes then maybe we’re just a bunch of salespeople.”

I see what he was trying to say, but I look at it differently.

I know for a FACT that when a strategy, tip, or tidbit is given in ANY social network – only a small portion of the people listening or reading will actually act on it.

And it’s all based on their motivation.  Their goals and what they are willing to do to reach their goals.

If that means that they need a little “fire” under their butts to get motivated, so be it.

As we all know, everyone has different motivations. Some it’s money, some it’s health, some it’s legacy, and for some, it might just be a car – a Sweet BMW 335i to be exact.

I know that for me, the concept of the leader board we just initiated inside MLSP is a HUGE motivation for me – as well as my team. I’ve talked with many of them about it already. Being the competitive person that I am, I now have a level by level goal to work towards. For me that is huge.

With a BMW at the end of it all, that’s just the icing on the cake.

The 1% of people pushing to their goals are the ones that you see around promoting this contest. Think back to the probable hundreds of people on that webinar last Wednesday when they announced this contest. That was 4 days ago as of the time I write this post.

Only a small portion of the people that were on that webinar are actively promoting this – which is great for me.  I know that because I’m driven, I will reap the rewards.  Those that are inactive will sit back and suffer as a result, and wonder why they never stand a chance.  I won’t tolerate that on my team.

Get active, promote, push, work towards a goal for Gods sake!

In all of the forums that I am a member of, I have only seen this contest mentioned in two of them.  One of which I started, and the other I replied in.

The ones who get active and promote with strategies where no one is marketing will stand a much greater chance of getting leads and sign-ups than those who are not.

So my point is this – if it takes you a contest to get motivated, awesome!  Use that to your advantage and do the things that others are not.

When you get motivated, you reach your goals.  Help others to do the same.  That is what will help you with retention in your team and truly help those that came to you in the first place when they decided to join you.

If it’s a car contest, leader board status, level of promotion in your company, or something else, let it be what motivates you and gets you to your goals.
