The State of Article Marketing
Traditional article marketing has become much tougher and far less efficient than it used to be because of the Duplicate Content filtering employed by Google and other search websites.
Here we are going to look at how quality article spinning offers a way around this problem, explain how it’s done and take a look at a new article spinner that may scale back your spinning time from an hour or even more to only a few minutes!
Content spinners first came to my attention about a year ago thanks to David Wood and his article marketing campaigns. But when you start to look, there are many to actually use.
Content, or content spinning, involves taking an original article and using it to generate 10′s or masses of new unique versions of the text.
Each one of these new articles presents the same concepts and ideas as the first, but voiced in alternative ways. The idea is that they all make sense and are grammatically correct, and so unique.
Does that sound like a funny idea to you? Pointless perhaps?
Sadly you’d be wrong on both counts. The reality is that these days article spinning is required.
The rationale is the duplicate content penalty. And you are decidedly mistaken if you think it’s a myth.
Article Spinning To The Rescue
Using a content spinner, it’s simple to create different versions of your articles for publishing on other sites, so it’s never the same as the version you have on yours.
And when you’re submitting to article directories, you may use different versions for each directory, which should increase the quantity of probabilities your article has of appearing in the search results.
A Time Saving Article Spinner
When I started, I forked out cash for my content spinner software when I needed to start spinning content. But the issue is that you had to manually go through and spin your complete article from start to finish.
Talk about laborious.
I’d spend 45 minutes to an hour or more spinning each article.
I really loathed having to spin each article, as it took so long, though it was a unavoidable evil to get the results I wanted.
Then I was introduced recently to a program that automatically spins the articles for you, with a bigger unique quality.
The articles I spun manually were typically a uniqueness of 20-30%, which was fine for Google, but when I used this auto-spinner, it essentially did a more satisfactory job at a 50-60% uniqueness on the 1st 2 articles I attempted.
To me, it was a no brainer.
Auto-spin the articles, and then submit the spun versions using the article submission program I use.
You will be creating hundreds of backlinks, but in the gradual and varied way that search engines reward you for.
The headstart you’ve got will make it very hard for others to catch up later . You’ll have more traffic generating articles and focused backlinks out there than the competition, which they can’t add overnight without being penalized by search engines like Google.

To spin or not to spin Linus is the big question.
Submitting articles is time consuming however I’m constantly told by the Content Divas Shelby and Heather that spinning just doesn’t cut it with google. I only submit one at a time and my recent submission made it to page 1 of google within 11 hours.
What kind of results are you getting with content boss?

I’m interested in what you’re mentioning here – mainly for comparisons.
In the spun versions, I have taken up the entire page of Google for that search term that the articles were written for. They were a combo of the spun articles, videos, and original blog post.
What is their reasoning that spinning doesn’t cut it?

Hey Linus,
Great post…again.
I also have to agree that spun articles do INDEED rank..or at least mine have…BUT ..you do need to watch for the percent of change. I have read that if you are not getting AT LEAST 20% new content Google will ding the article. Personally I try for 40% or better, just because.
Obviously, everyone has their own opinion on what works. I agree with you that article spinning works IF you do if correctly.
FYI…ezinearticles has started to use their own article spinner, so I would “presume” that article spinning works or they would not be offering the service.
Keep posting great info like this and I will have to keep coming back.

What you said is Exactly my point.
The first two articles I spun were at 54% and then 69%. Not to shabby for an auto spinner.
The question then becomes, how many times. Should people spin a spun article?
THe simple fact that EzineArticles has their own spinner is a huge plus in my opinion.
Since they are the authority site for articles, I would lean towards taking their word on it.

Amazing tool!
The cool thing is that if you wanted to get REALLY serious with article spinning, you could put an article into Content Boss, spin it, and submit it.
THEN take that submitted article, spin it again, and repeat the process!

Took me about a minute to jump on this one. Even with the ‘other’ spinning tools, the task was still tedious and monotonous.
This one is the bomb! AI (artificial intelligence)is creeping into our lives more and more. I say bring it on if I can spend more time at the beach and less time writing!

Hey man GREAT post!! So glad I am a Tribe member or I never would of learned there is a far better way to duplicate each of my labor intensive articles I’ve published on E-Zine! Yeah, the spinner is great!
The thing I’ve learned is that if you have a unique content percentage of 20-25% or greater, you’d in the gold.
Content boss is averaging 30-45% on my recent articles.

Hey bud, thanks for sharing this tool to us. So you mean I will just copy and paste the spun article from Content Boss to my Automatic Article Submitter software(the $97 one)? But then, have to manually write different versions of the titles? Let me know.
P.S. So basically what you’re saying is AAB is better than UAW, isn’t it? To maximize content boss…

To answer your question, yes!
Spin the article in content boss, paste the spun article in AAS, change the titles, change the resource boxes, and then submit.
If you are going to try the automated and quick approach, yes, AAS is better for this, but you need to check the grammar before you submit. With UAW, you have to spin each sentence individually, and are therefore re-writing each sentence with the correct grammar.

My articles are my blog posts. I jsut change the grammar to say “article” versus “post”.
Most sites will catch you if you’re promoting a blog post versus an article. So simply say that it’s an article.

Yes…it is a huge time saver for me too.
I have used both AAS and UAW. With either one, just take the spun article, submit that in as your “main” article, and you can spin it down further in UAW if you prefer to use it instead of AAS.
