Jim Rohn – Passing Of A Legend

Posted by Linus Ruzicka On December - 7 - 2009

A legend in the Network marketing world passed on to a new life that he had been preparing himself for over the last few weeks and days.

The legend, Jim Rohn, died yesterday, December 5th after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

From his website http://tribute.jimrohn.com/ “With great sadness we share that Jim Rohn, our mentor and friend, left us December 5, 2009 for a better place.

Over the past 18 months, in his battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, Jim assured us with a smile that all is good, that he would fight until the last breath, yet he had no fear as to what would be next. Jim’s faith was as much a part of his life as his desire to inspire and challenge us all to be the best we could be and to live our dreams.”

As I am an owner of only one of Jim’s books, but a student of his lessons and quotes, I can say without certainty that even though Mr. Rohn has died, his teachings and lessons will live on through time.  That right there is a legacy worth leaving!

Rest in Peace Mr. Rohn.  God be with your family and friends.

Why On Earth Would Someone Join You In Your MLM Business?

Posted by Linus Ruzicka On May - 9 - 2009

Why On Earth Would Someone Join You In Your Business?

Do you know why?  Honestly!

If I were to come up and ask you right now for a great reason why someone should join you in your business, what would your answer be?

Would it be something cheesy like “So they can learn to make money online”?

Or would you even have an answer at all?

Well, what I’m about to reveal to you here will help you with that answer.

This was the topic of our training webinar tonight.

Really it comes down to two specific questions:   Are they joining your Business?- OR – Are they joining You?

Most people when asked why someone should join them in their business will provide answers that are being taught to them by their uplines – but from the 1990’s.

Do these sound familiar?

•    They should join you for the extra income they’ll generate.
•    They will have more time and freedom
•    They will be able to work from home.
•    They’ll have financial freedom.
•    They can retire early.
•    They can pay for their child’s education.
•    They can leave a legacy.
•    They’ll be helping others.
•    They’ll get amazing benefits from the products we offer.

They should sound familiar because hundreds of MLM companies TELL you that’s why someone would want to join your business opportunity.

Problem is, its people joining your business opportunity, and not YOU.

So, to switch that frame of thinking in your mind on why someone should join you, we need to look at sponsoring tactics that are being used by only 3% of network marketers currently.

You should be focusing on prospects that are out on the internet today.  Here are the reasons they make such AMAZING prospects:
•    They already have prior knowledge or experience in the MLM industry
•    They have been in at least one MLM company, but often they have been in many more.
•    They’re already sold on the idea of the network marketing model.
•    Way too many prospects are struggling to make a profit in their current MLM company.

Now, this is where YOU come in!  This is where you separate yourself from the chaff.

Looking at the four reasons I just listed, ask yourself the question again, “Why would anyone join YOU?”

The answer is that it all has to do with attraction marketing.  How someone sees you.  Are you the CEO of You, Inc. or are you the guy looking in from the outside of You, Inc?

Here’s how you become the CEO of You, Inc.:

1.    Create Relate-ability with the prospect. They like you because of the relationship you’re building.  How’s that done?  You need to be active on the phone, your auto-responders, videos, etc. so that they feel like they already know you before they even join you.

2.    Trust. In today’s age of scams, fraud, and internet crimes, so many people are leery of being too trusting too early.  You MUST have the prospects trust or you go nowhere.

3.    Respect/leadership. You must be a leader (maybe not if you’re just getting started).  The lead has to respect you for who you are, what you’ve done already, and what you’re providing to them.  How’s the best way to create this?  Self study.  The number one thing you should spend time on as a network marketer is improving yourself as a leader, mentor, and provider.

4.    Support and training. Provide this to your prospects from the get-go and they automatically view you as the leader they want to follow, instead of your competition.

Now, before you go out just randomly jumping into these steps trying to become CEO, keep in mind that there are basics you want to keep in mind.

You can cover a lot of the bases if you just get active and get to know your prospects.  Call them, text them, send them an e-mail, find them on Skype.  Find out what they do for a living, how long they’ve been in MLM, get an idea of the success they’ve had already, the marketing they’ve done already.

This is the biggest area where so many people just drop the ball and never connect with their leads.  If you never connect, the only thing they’re hearing from you is your auto responder messages.

The more you know about them, the more your own personal history will come out, and often times, you’ll form a bond that you may have never known existed prior to your contact.  So get active and call your leads.

If you haven’t already, how much money have you been leaving on the table?

Before, during, and after your initial phone call or personal contact with your lead, you’re already establishing value with your messages.  When you add a personal call, you take that value a step further.

You’re going to qualify yourself as a leader with your story, the success you’ve had already, what it is that you’re going to offer and provide to them, and essentially what you’re going to do to help them.

Now here is where the main money making activity comes into play when you’re talking with your leads.  You’ve already established who you are and what you do.  You’ve built that trust.  You’ve built that relationship.  They are now ready to be led to action.

By that I mean that you need to give them clear instructions on what you’re going to expect and how you operate.  Give them clear instructions on what you want them to do.  “O.k. Kyle, here’s how I work.  It sounds like there may be a potential for us to work together here.  What I want you to do next is…”  Then you send them to a link, or have them fill out an application, or go to a training webinar.  Something that is going to send them into producing money for you.  This is where the money is made!

You are in this for money also correct?  So why aren’t you monetizing your leads and helping them to do the same thing?

It’s that simple!  Sure, there are more details that you’re just going to have to work through, but that is the basics of it all.

This is a process that I never created, I just follow it to a tee.  It is an essential step to go through if you have any money making goals in this industry.

So, this is it as far as training on making you the CEO of You. Inc.

“Eat that Frog!”

Posted by Linus Ruzicka On April - 21 - 2009

“If the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning is eat a live frog, then nothing worse can happen for the rest of the day!”

This morning, I received an e-mail from a motivational source I subscribe to – “Simple Truths.”

Today’s entry is about “Eat That Frog”.  Brian Tracy author of “Eat That Frog” says that your “frog” should be the most difficult item on your things to do list, the one you’re most likely to procrastinate on most.

I agree with his research on this.  Prior to reading the e-mail I received this morning on this, I had already begun to apply this principle in my online business – and really – life in general.  And what a difference it’s made in accomplishing different things throughout my day.

Up until just a few weeks ago, one of my biggest frustrations has been poor time management.  Missed tasks, not finishing things in a timely manner, and getting frustrated because of it.  I decided to make a focused campaign to prioritize my day as far as tasks to be accomplished.

And much like Brian describes, when you eat that “frog” first, it’ll give you the boost you need to for the rest of the day. But, if you don’t…and he sits there all day long staring at you while you accomplish more UN-important things, it will drain your energy and you won’t even know it.

In “Eat That Frog”, Brian dives into the core of what is vital to effective time management: decision, discipline and determination. In 21 steps that he outlines what it takes to get more of the important tasks done…today!

Here’s a small sampling in Brian’s chapter titled: “Apply the 80/20 Rule to Everything.” Enjoy!

“The 80/20 Rule is one of the most helpful of all concepts of time and life management. It is also called the “Pareto Principle” after its founder, the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, who first wrote about it in 1895. Pareto noticed that people in his society seemed to divide naturally into what he called the “vital few”, the top 20 percent in terms of money and influence, and the “trivial many”, the bottom 80 percent.

He later discovered that virtually all economic activity was subject to this principle as well. For example, this principle says that 20 percent of your activities will account for 80 percent of your results, 20 percent of your customers will account for 80 percent of your sales, 20 percent of your products or services will account for 80 percent of your profits, 20 percent of your tasks will account for 80 percent of the value of what you do, and so on. This means that if you have a list of ten items to do, two of those items will turn out to be worth five or ten times or more than the other eight items put together.

Number of Tasks versus Importance of Tasks
Here is an interesting discovery. Each of the ten tasks may take the same amount of time to accomplish. But one or two of those tasks will contribute five or ten times the value of any of the others.

Often, one item on a list of ten tasks that you have to do can be worth more than all the other nine items put together. This task is invariably the frog that you should eat first.

Focus on Activities, Not Accomplishments
The most valuable tasks you can do each day are often the hardest and most complex. But the payoff and rewards for completing these tasks efficiently can be tremendous. For this reason, you must adamantly refuse to work on tasks in the bottom 80 percent while you still have tasks in the top 20 percent left to be done.

Before you begin work, always ask yourself, “Is this task in the top 20 percent of my activities or in the bottom 80 percent?”

The hardest part of any important task is getting started on it in the first place. Once you actually begin work on a valuable task, you will be naturally motivated to continue. A part of your mind loves to be busy working on significant tasks that can really make a difference. Your job is to feed this part of your mind continually.

Motivate Yourself
Just thinking about starting and finishing an important task motivates you and helps you to overcome procrastination. Time management is really life management, personal management. It is really taking control of the sequence of events. Time management is having control over what you do next. And you are always free to choose the task that you will do next. Your ability to choose between the important and the unimportant is the key determinant of your success in life and work.

Effective, productive people discipline themselves to start on the most important task that is before them. They force themselves to eat that frog, whatever it is. As a result, they accomplish vastly more than the average person and are much happier as a result. This should be your way of working as well.”

By the way, I’m taking up the 30 day challenge at the end of the video.  I challenge you to do the same thing as well!  If you’re going to do it, let me know.  I want to hear about it now and at the end of 30 days to see how it worked out for you!

So, props to Brian Tracy for a quality read on time management and prioritization.  I hope it motivates you for better results in your day.  So that’s why I pass along quality information to you so others benefit from it as well.
